STEP 1 β€” TARGET ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Based on the target role, define the expected proficiency level (1–5) for each skill dimension

STEP 2 β€” GAP IDENTIFICATION

Calculate the delta between current and required for each dimension:

- Flag Priority Gaps (delta β‰₯ 2): These will hold you back

- Flag Development Areas (delta = 1): These will differentiate you

- Celebrate Strengths (at or above target): Leverage these

STEP 3 β€” DEVELOPMENT PLAN

For each Priority Gap:

- Recommend 1–2 concrete activities (project, course, practice, shadowing, book)

- Define what "good" looks like in 6 months

- Estimate time investment required

For each strength:

- Identify where to apply it most visibly in your current role

- Consider how to make your strength legible to stakeholders and hiring managers
