Make Google Play reviews part of your prioritization process

Import your Android app's reviews daily as pieces of feedback, tagged with star ratings.

Overview

The Google Play integration pulls your Android app's Play Store reviews into Productboard as pieces of feedback. No Google credentials or authorization required — any publicly listed app works.

Automatic daily import

Reviews are fetched once per day and created as feedback in Insights, each tagged with the review's star rating and linked back to the original review on Google Play.

Filter and link to features

On any insights board, filter by Source → Google Play to isolate mobile feedback, or filter by star rating tags to triage by satisfaction level. Link imported reviews to features so app improvements are prioritized on user evidence.

Monitor competitor apps

Add an integration for any public Google Play app, including competitors'. Their reviews import the same way, so you can compare what users say about competing apps from inside Productboard.

Setup

Productboard admins and makers can add the integration. No Google credentials are required. Reviews are fetched from the US version of Google Play, in English, and the first reviews appear within 24 hours of setup.

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations from the main menu.
  2. Find and click Google Play, then click Add integration.
  3. In the App ID field, enter your app's Google Play Store URL (for example, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.example.myapp).
  4. Click Save integration. Repeat for additional apps as needed.
