Ask Spark to search Google Drive and read Docs, Sheets, Slides, and PDFs. Spark can't create, copy, or change files.
The Google Drive MCP connector lets Spark search your Drive and read files through conversation.
To choose specific files yourself from a file picker in the chat, use the Google Drive integration. Both can be connected at the same time.
Describe the document you need, such as "Find the latest PRD for the onboarding redesign," and Spark searches your Drive for it. You can also ask for the sheets you own or the ones that changed recently.
Copy a link from Drive into a Spark chat and ask what's in it. Spark opens the file behind the link and answers from its contents.
Spark reads Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, along with PDFs, Microsoft Office files, text files, and images. It can count rows in a spreadsheet, summarize interview notes, or show who a file is shared with. When a document relates to a feature in your workspace, Spark can draw on both in one answer.
Any Spark user can connect Google Drive with their own Google account, and Spark reaches only the files that account can already open. If your organization restricts third-party apps, a Google Workspace administrator may need to approve Productboard Spark first.
From any Spark chat, open the connectors modal, click Connect next to Google Drive, then review what Spark can access on Google's sign-in page and grant permission. You'll return to Productboard with the connection active in every Spark chat.
