Capture feature requests from users inside your product

Overview

The Gainsight PX integration routes feedback collected by the Knowledge Center Bot, Gainsight's in-app widget for documentation, onboarding, and feature requests, into Productboard. Each submission arrives on your Insights board ready to process, link to features, and use in prioritization.

Route in-app feedback to your Insights board

When a user submits feedback through the Knowledge Center Bot, it is forwarded to Productboard automatically with the sender's name, email, and a source label attached. Requests reach the product team the moment users raise them.

Keep the full submission

Each piece of feedback carries the complete message with its formatting, the user's profile information, and any file attachments included in the submission.

Tag and filter automatically

Configure tags in the integration settings and Productboard applies them to every piece of feedback arriving from Gainsight PX. On any Insights board, filter by feedback source to review everything that came in through the bot.

Setup

Workspace admins can connect Gainsight PX in Settings → Integrations. The integration works over email forwarding, so it also needs a one-time configuration in Gainsight PX.

  1. In Productboard, go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Select Gainsight PX and copy the unique forwarding email address generated for your workspace.
  3. In Gainsight PX, open the Knowledge Center Bot settings and paste the address into the Email Forwarding field.
  4. Optionally, configure automatic tags for incoming feedback in the Productboard integration settings.

The integration doesn't import existing Gainsight PX feedback. To bring in historical submissions, export them from Gainsight PX as a CSV and import the file into your Insights board.
