Ground every Spark chat in context from your team's Notion docs

Query Notion live through the MCP connector. Attach specific pages as context in any Spark chat.

Overview

Notion connects to Spark in two complementary ways. The MCP connector lets Spark search and query your Notion workspace live through natural-language prompts, while the document integration attaches specific Notion pages as context in any Spark chat. Both make information captured in Notion immediately available for informing core product work carried out in Productboard.

Query Notion live from Spark

With the Notion connector, ask Spark to search your Notion workspace in plain language: find the PRDs related to a feature, check what the go-to-market strategy says about pricing, or turn a product spec into concrete Notion tasks. Answers come from live pages in your Notion workspace.

Attach Notion pages as context

Click the @ Context button above the chat input to browse and select Notion pages, or paste a Notion page URL directly into the chat. Spark grounds its responses, specs, and briefs in context from the pages you attach.

You control what Spark sees

Both connections respect your existing Notion permissions, so Spark can only reach pages your account can access. Attachments apply per Spark conversation — you choose the pages each chat draws on, and nothing is stored beyond it.

Setup

Any Spark user can connect Notion. No admin setup is required in Productboard, though your Notion admin may need to approve API access for Productboard Spark in Notion's integration settings.

  1. From any Spark chat, select Integrations & Connectors.
  2. Select Add Integrations & connectors to enable the Notion MCP connector.
  3. Select Notion → Connect to enable the document integration.

Once connected, attach pages with the @ Context button or by pasting a Notion page link, and query the workspace by naming Notion in your prompt.
