Overview

The Linear MCP connector lets Spark work with your Linear workspace through conversational prompts. Create issues, check on engineering progress, and bring Linear context into product specs and briefs while you write them with Spark in Productboard. Each user connects their own Linear account.

Create issues from the conversation

Ask Spark to create a Linear issue with a title, priority, and description — "In Linear, create a new issue titled 'Fix login timeout' with high priority." The issue lands in Linear without you switching tools.

Track engineering work

Check bug backlogs, monitor epic status, and follow project progress by asking Spark. Answers come from your Linear workspace, so a status check fits into the conversation you're already having.

Bring engineering context into product docs

Pull Linear data into Productboard documents and incorporate engineering context into specs, briefs, and strategy docs.

Setup

Any Spark user can connect Linear. Connectors are set up per user, and no admin setup is required in Productboard.

1. From any Spark chat, select the Integrations & Connectors icon beneath the prompt input field.
2. Select + Add integrations & connectors and open the MCP Connectors tab.
3. Click Connect next to Linear and authorize with your Linear account. You'll return to Productboard with the connection active in every Spark chat.
