Understand what's enabled in production from your product source of truth

Overview

The LaunchDarkly MCP connector lets Spark query your feature flags, targeting rules, and rollout data through conversation. Ask which flags are active in production or how a rollout is performing while you're planning the next release, and the answer comes from live data in LaunchDarkly. Each user connects their own LaunchDarkly account.

Check flag status before you plan around it

Ask Spark to list active feature flags for an environment, check whether a flag is on or off, or pull the targeting rules behind a rollout. Ask what percentage of users have a flag enabled before you decide whether a feature is ready to reference in a roadmap conversation.

Toggle flags from a Spark chat

Spark can turn a flag on or off, including for a specific targeting segment such as enterprise customers. This changes production behavior, so treat it the way you would treat any flag change in LaunchDarkly itself. Confirm the flag and audience before you ask Spark to act, and expect LaunchDarkly's own confirmation and approval workflows to apply where they are configured.

Scoped to your LaunchDarkly role

Spark can see and change only what your connected LaunchDarkly account permits. LaunchDarkly recommends connecting with a Writer base role, the LaunchDarkly Developer preset role, or another role that provides equivalent access. A role without enough access surfaces as a permissions error.

Setup

Any Spark user can connect LaunchDarkly. No admin setup is required in Productboard.

From any Spark chat, open the connectors modal, click Connect next to LaunchDarkly, then complete the sign-in on LaunchDarkly's page and authorize access. You'll return to Productboard with the connection active in every Spark chat.
