Connect Hex's MCP server to Spark and query your analytics projects and data in plain language.
The Hex MCP connector lets Spark query your Hex workspace through conversation. Ask a data question while you plan and Spark opens a Hex Thread against your connected data sources, returning an answer grounded in live data. Each user connects their own Hex account, and access follows that account's permissions.
Ask Spark a question about your product data and it starts a Hex Thread against your connected data sources. The answer comes back into the conversation, ready to use in the spec or brief you're writing.
Follow-up questions continue the same Hex Thread, so you can refine an analysis step by step without starting over. You can also pull the findings from an existing Thread into specs, briefs, or post-launch evaluations.
Ask Spark to find a Hex project by name or topic and it searches your workspace, surfacing the matching projects. Check what analysis already exists before commissioning new work.
The connector uses your existing Hex account permissions. Hex workspace admins can restrict which data connections the integration can reach under Settings → Integrations → Agent integration data connection access.
Any Spark user can connect Hex. Connectors are set up per user, and no admin setup is required in Productboard. On the Hex side, the MCP server requires a Team or Enterprise plan and an Explorer workspace role or higher.
