Know whether what you shipped worked

Connect Amplitude's MCP server to Spark and pull live analytics into product conversations.

Overview

The Amplitude MCP connector lets Spark query your Amplitude analytics through conversation. Ask about user behavior while you're planning, and the answer arrives grounded in live data from your Amplitude workspace. Each user connects their own Amplitude account, and Spark sees only what that account can see.

To sync Amplitude cohorts into Productboard as user segments, see the Amplitude integration.

Ask analytics questions in plain language

Run ad-hoc segmentation, funnel, and retention queries by asking Spark. Search for the most popular events in a product area, or list your most engaged users, while drafting the spec that depends on the answer.

Check experiments

Ask whether an experiment is running for a flow you're about to change, and analyze the results of experiments you've shipped, all from the same Spark conversation.

Scoped to your Amplitude permissions

The connector uses your existing Amplitude account permissions and access controls. Amplitude organization admins can restrict MCP access under Settings → Content Access → MCP.

Setup

Any Spark user can connect Amplitude. No admin setup is required in Productboard.

  1. From any Spark chat, select the Integrations & Connectors icon beneath the prompt input field.
  2. Select + Add integrations & connectors and open the MCP Connectors tab.
  3. Click Connect next to Amplitude, then review what Spark can access and complete the sign-in on Amplitude's page. You'll return to Productboard with the connection active in every Spark chat.

On the Amplitude side, MCP access is enabled by default for all users.
