We’re looking for a People Operations Manager to join our team on a 9-month maternity leave cover. This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the opportunity to keep our core People programs running smoothly, make improvements where you see opportunities, and partner across the business to deliver great employee experiences.

You’ll be a trusted go-to for our team in Europe. You are someone who can navigate both the details and the big picture, and who’s comfortable wearing many hats. While Benefits might be your specialty, you’re excited to go broader, supporting everything from compliance and employee relations to systems and process improvements. You thrive in fast-paced start-up environments, can create clarity out of complexity, and know how to balance empathy with operational excellence.

For this role you will be onsite at our beautiful office in downtown Prague 3 days per week (Mon, Tue, and Thursday.

What you’ll be doing

• Partner with People leadership to support People initiatives across the full employee lifecycle.
• Collaborate with HRBPs, payroll, legal, and finance to operationalize policies and programs.
• Support employee relations, compliance work, and special projects as needed.
• Own and improve People systems, processes, and documentation to make life easier for employees and managers.
• Build scalable, employee-friendly programs for a distributed workforce, including both exempt and non-exempt roles.
• Provide expert guidance on benefits, leave administration, and other complex employee queries.
• Translate People Ops strategy into practical, field-ready processes that work across geographies.
• Act as project lead across People initiatives, ensuring alignment between stakeholders and keeping projects on track from planning through to execution and communication.
• Ensure the smooth execution of the Performance Review cycle,  coordinating across People OPS, HRBPs, managers, and leadership to deliver a consistent and well-governed process.
• Continuously analyze and recommend improvements to People programs, ensuring they are equitable, scalable, and aligned with both employee needs and business goals.
  
  

What you bring

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in high-growth or scaling companies.
• Experience and expertise in supporting all back-end work related to Employee Performance cycles is essential.  This entails building performance spreadsheets managed by HRBPs, managing all equity and compensation downloads to said spreadsheet, etc)
• Good understanding of compliance and administration/management of the People Operations Jira ticketing system
• Experience managing HR programs for distributed workforces across Europe.
• A love for building and improving processes, with a strong systems mindset.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.  You work well with everyone from employees to executives.
• A good grasp of Czech labor laws is needed.
• Comfort working in HRIS platforms, benefits systems, and handling data in Excel or Google Sheets.

Bonus points for

• Experience building HR programs in a Series B–E startup.
• Hands-on experience across other People areas: onboarding, performance management, policy development, change management, and compliance.
