2024 Product Excellence Report

The stakes for nailing your feature or product launch the first time are higher than ever, and it's increasingly challenging within today's product orgs. Our fourth annual Product Excellence report, created in partnership with Product Collective, will empower your product teams to innovate with agility and confidence. 

We surveyed 500 product managers and leaders to uncover the processes disrupting product management and identify opportunities for innovation.

Here is a sneak preview of our findings:

• Process issues intensify in larger orgs. Among large enterprises, 70% take at least 1–2 months to make key product decisions, and 29% report that initiatives “rarely” or “never” meet expected timelines.
• There's a perception gap between leaders and individual contributors (ICs) about how well product initiatives align with company goals, with leaders generally feeling more confident about the alignment.
• Most product orgs do not yet use purpose-built tooling, but those that do are reaping the benefits—including less time spent on unplanned work, meeting deadlines, and an extreme confidence in their user insights.
