Senior Product Designer - Design Systems

We're seeking a Product Designer to lead our Design System efforts and become a member of our Design team. A team of seasoned experience-builders, we know that the happier our team and company, the better our work will be. You will play a key role in driving both strategy and execution of our Design System to support Design and Engineering teams. You’ll advocate to instill design values not inly into products, but also to the company culture. If that sounds interesting, we want to hear for you!

Your responsibilities

  • Work alongside Engineering to identify impactful work and maintain parity between Figma component libraries and production code
  • Make sure the design system’s priorities are set straight, drive the design system’s strategy and tactics
  • Design, prototype, and document interaction patterns and UI components
  • Work with designers and engineers to evolve UX and UI patterns, giving and receiving feedback in design critiques
  • Pair-design with designers from different product teams to see how you can improve the foundations of their work and to make sure the design system support their needs
  • Collaborate with our UX writer to uphold our product’s voice
  • Organize robust Figma libraries and keep them neat and usable even by more junior designers
  • Evolve the contribution process and advocate for the adoption and advancement of the design system itself

About you

  • You have built design systems before, or have an informed opinion on how to plan and execute on their expansion and improvement
  • You’ve designed a lot of UIs, have a deep knowledge of interaction patterns, and can deliver high-quality work
  • You’re a systemic thinker who can turn complex design problems into intuitive user experiences
  • You can identify patterns and standardize them for different use cases
  • You have solid engineering acumen necessary for successful collaboration with the engineering team. An understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience working alongside front-end and back-end teams.
  • You can project manage and organize work that needs to be done but you and other cross functional partners
  • You poses excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiences.
  • You’re proactive, curious, and independent, with a passion for solving problems, learning, advancing your craft, and driving impact.
  • You seek feedback to grow and give feedback candidly and with empathy.

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards that apply to digital products
  • Experience in a B2B SaaS organization with a mature product design practice
