We are excited to kick off May 2021 with some exciting news. We recently raised $72 million of Series C funding to further the vision of our company — to help every product organization get the right products to market, faster. The lead investor is Tiger Global with participation from existing investors Index Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia Capital, and Bessemer Venture Partners.

This new round brings our total funding to date to $137 million. Our team at Productboard is on a mission to create the first customer-centric product management platform, and we couldn’t have asked for better partners to join us on this journey!

For context, Tiger Global has Facebook, Uber, Stripe, Coinbase, and countless other tech companies that have gone on to change the world in their portfolio. Sequoia was an early investor in Apple, Google, Github, and Airbnb. Bessemer’s partnerships include Pinterest, LinkedIn, Shopify, and Yelp. As you can imagine, we are thrilled and honored to be included among the likes of these tech titans!

So, why do the world’s top VC firms choose Productboard? It’s simple: Productboard is positioned to continue leading the category of product management systems. Just as sales organizations ditched spreadsheets and databases for CRMs several decades ago, modern product organizations are adopting dedicated product management systems like Productboard that inform the most important decisions their companies make — what should product teams build next, and why?

Productboard leads this new market category, serving 4,000+ companies, including iconic brands like Microsoft, Disney, UiPath, and Zoom. We’re doing so by addressing the core needs of modern product organizations in a way that is unlike any other product on the market today.

Build products that matter, together

At Productboard, we all work towards empowering teams to deliver the right products to market, faster. Our vision is one of a world full of amazing products that both function and delight

Why? Because we believe that everyone deserves to work on products that people will not only use but love — products that are truly excellent. Life is simply too short to work on features that go unused and products that fail.

With the abrupt shift to remote work and shutdowns across the world, companies were forced to evolve overnight to serve their customers in new ways. With the accelerated pace of the market and the competitive business landscape, getting the right products to market faster through deep user insight, a clear product strategy, and an inspiring roadmap is no longer negotiable.

Helping product teams achieve excellence drives everything we do here at Productboard. It informs how we interact with our customers at every touchpoint, determines the features we choose to build next, and shapes how our product and company will evolve into the future. Because when our customers succeed, we all succeed.

Productboard is growing, fast

This time last year, there were 133 Productboard employees. Today, there are 234. And we are just beginning! Over the coming year, fuelled by our new investment, we aim to expand our team globally by opening a new office in Dublin and growing teams in Prague, San Francisco, and Vancouver. We are looking for talent in every function, from product and engineering to customer success, sales, and marketing. So, if you are looking for an exciting new gig at a growing, international tech company, we’d love to hear from you.

Below are just some of the things you can expect from life at Productboard.

Do work that matters

At Productboard, your work will be packed with purpose. Our dedicated product management system is the first of its kind for product organizations, and you will help pioneer a whole new category of software from the ground up. Your contributions have the potential to change the way product teams from all over the world build products.  Just like the best product teams, we seek to clarify the objectives behind our work. Life is too short to work on things that don’t matter.

Make an impact at a growing startup

Join at the golden startup age — established stability with space for individual impact. Despite our success so far, Productboard is a young company and we are just getting started. The people we bring in over the next few months will be the trailblazers that help shape our company, culture, and product.

Be part of a truly international team

At Productboard, you will work with a truly international team. We already have offices in Prague, San Francisco, Vancouver and we aim to expand our team further by opening a new office in Dublin.

We strive to promote equality and diversity, ensuring that people from all backgrounds, cultures, and groups can realize their full potential at Productboard. Our Employee Resource Groups and Diversity Council help foster a sense of community and belonging among our international workforce. Whether you associate with a specific group, are interested in allyship, or just want to learn more, anyone is welcome to join any of these groups at any time.

Help us grow an amazing culture

Culture is everything at Productboard. We are driven by our core values of Relentless Improvement, Empathy, Transparency, Clarity, and Togetherness — and we aim to exhibit these every day at work. Arriving at these values was a group effort, with every employee allowed to contribute and have their say. Join a team that loves what they do, and who are invested in their work environment and the future of the company.

Our work-life balance

We know that work is so much more than hitting deadlines. It’s where we spend all our time, contribute to world-changing ideas, and nurture life-long relationships. That’s why mental health and well-being are our top priorities. Leadership actively supports us in taking the days off and leads by example. Each employee has an additional 9 paid sick days, which are related to both physical and mental health and all employees have access to the Headspace meditation app, as well as sport and wellness opportunities. We try to base benefits on the actual needs of the employees, so we often ask them through internal surveys what would make the most sense for them.

Continuous growth

On the performance management front, we ensure that all Productboarders have consistent and ongoing pathways for development and growth, as well as access to resources, mentors, feedback, and recognition. Every Productboarder should clearly understand where they are headed and what they need to do to achieve their goals.

We are dedicated not only to building a great product but also to creating great leaders. To this end, we offer our leaders access to Better Manager coaches, world-class mentors through our VC partners, a bank of internal wiki resources, and external training sessions.

What you see is what you’ll get

From profit-sharing initiatives like stock options to open calendars and communication, we don’t waste time on politics or ego. We champion openness by sharing our goals, success, and failures. Everyone has timely access to important company news and business metrics.

Sound interesting?

As we continue on our journey, we’ll be seeking more great makers and doers to join our team of product dreamers and visionaries. If you know anyone who’d fit right in, or if you’re looking for a new opportunity in San Francisco, Prague, Vancouver, or your remote office, stop by our careers page to see how you can make your impact! We’d love to hear from you!
