Productboard is now SOC 2 Type II certified
We’re excited to announce that Productboard has received its Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II compliance certification for its customer-driven product management system.
The certification, as well as Productboard’s SOC 2 Type 1 certificate, covering “Security and Availability Principles,” emphasizes Productboard’s commitment to safeguarding customer data—and their customers’ data—over time.

What is SOC 2 Type II?
Developed by The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, System and Organization Controls (SOC) is a third-party verification certifying that a set of criteria ensuring a wide range of security controls are in place within a company including:
- Technical controls (access controls, data encryption, firewalls, IDs, etc.)
- Corporate controls (physical security, personnel security, corporate governance, etc.)
- Legal controls (contract execution, NDAs, intellectual property, etc.)
- Software development controls (secure coding practices, change management, quality assurance, SDLC, etc.)
